The ANZ Balance Visa Card as the name suggests is a credit card giving you an opportunity to earn rewards as you make balance repayments. The card charges a low rate on purchase transactions. Cash advances incur a standard interest rate that may vary from time to time.

The card comes with a special rewards program that gives you points anytime you make a balance repayment. If you're one to pay up your balance regularly you can accumulate points faster than everyone else. As you make a balance repayment you will earn points equal to dollar value of the repayment. Points earned do not expire and will continue accumulate until you stop paying your balance. ANZ provides a range of options into which you may convert points gathered. Options include Cashback (to increase your spending power), gift cards and shopping vouchers. The rewards program charges a $22 fee annually.

A $57 annual account fee is charged. Cardholders are permitted to order an additional card for family and friends at no extra cost.

As cardholder you will receive protection from various card features. The ANZ Falcon Security feature protects your card account from fraudulent transactions. Whenever you purchase an eligible item with an applicable warranty cover, you automatically receive an extra year courtesy of the extended warranty feature. You also qualify for a 90 day purchase security insurance which you could take advantage of to replace or repair eligible products you've purchased within 90 days. Visa Entertainment hooks you up to bonuses and special offers from partnering retailers. You'd get front-roll access to discounts on merchandise, movie tickets, concerts and home entertainment products.

ANZ's Internet Banking service gives you protected internet access to online statements. These statements contain your expenditure throughout the preceding month and can be downloaded for record keeping purposes. You may also check the amount of points earned online and contact customer support.

The ANZ Balance Visa Card offers up to 55 days as an interest free period. The card gives you a total package with which you can consolidate most of your purchase transactions. The Annual Interest is really competitive and lower than what's offered on some competing cards.
