Take Advantage of Australian Credit Card Benefits

St. George Vertigo MasterCard

Whether you use your credit card because it is convenient or because you enjoy reaping all the benefits from their rewards programs, you would probably agree that credit cards are a good thing to have. Indeed, they are convenient because they grant you access to money no matter the time of day or where you might be around the globe. It is also true that there are many benefits you can reap from simply buying everyday things. The St. George Vertigo MasterCard is a unique credit card that offers both to you. In addition, you can get a moderate annual fee and perhaps even a couple months interest free on all new standard purchases.

This card features a faire annual fee as well as a low introductory rate on both standard purchases and balance transfers. You could be surprised to discover, however, that the interest rate after the introductory period ends is still not nearly as high as other cards you might have. This is why it is a good idea to consolidate your other card balances to your St. George Vertigo MasterCard. It could save you a lot of money by reducing the amount of money you have to pay every month to your credit cards. If you want, you can even link the card to your other St. George accounts.

Aussie MasterCard Credit Card

The Aussie Master Card is a basic credit card that starts you with a very low, variable balance transfer rate. Obviously, then, this rate will adjust after a period of months, but unlike other cards with variable rates, this adjustment will not be too significant. Another thing that makes this card distinctive is that this adjustable rate often applies to new purchases as well. This makes spending very easy, since you won't have to be too concerned with interest, at least for a little while. What you might notice above all, though, is that you can choose from a few other options if the balance transfer detail is not your cup of tea. Regardless of your choice, however, you will still appreciate the reasonable annual fee as well as up to two months interest free on all new standard purchases.

BP CitiBank Master Credit Card

One of the most attractive types of rewards credit cards in Australia are those that offer rebates on petrol. The BP Citibank MasterCard does just that, combining the convenience and quality of Citibank with that of BP, one of the world's largest fuel suppliers. With this card, you can get up to 5% off your petrol purchases as well as other retail merchandise you can find at a BP fueling station. Basically, this card will pay you back for filling up your gas tank! If that isn't enough for you though, you will certainly also appreciate the relatively low annual fee and interest free periods. There is also a low introductory balance transfer rate that lasts for the first 12 months. This means that you can consolidate your existing balances and take your time to pay them off over the course of the next year. While this sounds easy, you will be surprised how quickly this can get away from you, so you need to have a plan and a budget to use this benefit effectively.

BankWest Lite MasterCard Credit Card

Awarded both "Cheapest Credit Card" and "Cheapest Balance Transfer" titles by Money Magazine, the Bankwest Lite MasterCard offers benefits that you will not find anywhere else. While their low introductory balance is variable, it starts out very low and isn't set to adjust for the better part of a year. This is ideal if you have a few cards with fair balances and high interest rates. If you consolidate, you will save by spending less money per month on your credit card payments, but you will also save over time because the interest won't be compounding as quickly. If you really play your cards right, you might even be able to completely pay off this balance before the adjustment period begins.

There is a mild annual fee, but if you consolidate your other cards you will be paying only one annual fee instead of three or four, which saves you even more. You will also like 24-hour access to Bankwest's online system where you can get more information regarding your card and benefits. Because it is a MasterCard, you will also appreciate access to 28 million merchants across the globe. What you may like most, though, is Bankwest's RewardMe incentive program that will pay you back on your standard purchases.
